Ian is a consultant in the firm’s Intellectual Property team, having retired as a partner in the practice in March 2020.
Ian has over 30 years’ experience in proceedings and dispute resolution. He also advises on registration, identification of rights and licensing.
Ian is the co-author of ‘Morris & Quest – The Modern Law of Design’, Butterworths, 2007.
Major litigation has included House of Spring Gardens v Waite & Others; Lancashire Fires v Lyons; The Oystertec litigation; Russell Williams v Designers Guild; Nova Productions Limited v Mazooma; Ancon v ACS; Folding Attic Stairs; Best Buy v Worldwide Sales; Baker St Clothing v Lacoste and many others.
Ian is also a member of CIPA, LES and TIPLO.
